When a technician completes this module, they are able to inspect the vehicle, analyze the brake components and perform the recommended repairs. They are able to explain the relationship between the foundation brakes hydraulic system and the additional ABS and stability control components. They are able to explain the precautions necessary to perform hybrid vehicle brake repair safely. They are able to identify the tire pressure monitoring systems and explain how best to proceed with the repair and maintenance of the systems. They also are able to service ABS systems from the prospective of extended longevity and function and explain brake by wire proposed systems.
